Sunny Moza is an Indian actor from Jammu-Kashmir who is currently based in California, USA. He has performed in over 100 theater productions, TV shows and independent films. Although he mostly appears in commercials, music videos, plays and independent movies, he has a versatile background with a Masters degree in Computer Engineering and is very passionate about various aspects of film making – acting, directing, writing and editing.

Sunny’s short film KURSE, which he wrote, directed and acted in, premiered at Club Albertos to a full house, received the ‘Audience Choice Award’ at the Northern California Film Festival and also screened at the Mississippi International Film Festival. His other short film LOVE FOOL, which also premiered to a full house at Serra Theaters with Jose “Joe” Esteves, the Mayor of Milpitas, as the Chief Guest, was the official selection at the Silicon Valley Film Festival. Both films were covered by reputed newspapers and TV channels.

Besides his home productions, Sunny has acted alongside Ali Fazal in the short film ACCORDING TO PLAN A which won ‘Best of the Fest’ at the Riverside International Film Festival. He was the lead actor in the music video “Ab Laut Aa” by Sunidhi Chauhan which received the ‘Best Music Video Award’ at the VIMA Music Awards and more than a million views on YouTube. Sunny was also the lead actor in the short film YELLOW which made it to IFFSA Toronto and NDTV’s Profit-Prime channel. Most recently, his Kannada film BABRU with Suman Nagarkar was released worldwide in theaters in 2019, and his Punjabi film SONGS OF SILENCE was released on the PTC Punjabi channel in 2020.

Besides acting, Sunny is regularly invited as a speaker at many events like the Fremont Area Writers meet which is a branch of the California Writers Club. He has been invited as a guest speaker on Film Making at Irvington High School where he has been the Film Judge for the Reflections Program at the Irvington PTA for 4 consecutive years as well. In the past, he has served as the G4 Area Director in District-4 and has won many of the Toastmasters’ international speech contests at Club, Area and Division levels. His promotional video for the Toastmasters Club received the ‘Diamond Director Award’ at the District Conference.
